Stacy's Donor JSDF526 - Stacy Ahrens di Francesco, our sister, our
friend, and now our angel forever.....was diagnosed for CML 12-10-97, her bone marrow
transplant was on 6-11-98, and she earned her angel wings on 9-03-98. As Stacy suspected her donor is a transplant doctor (He Specializes in Liver and Kidney Transplants) He is 44 years old and has a family. He lives and works not far from us, in pittsburg, pa. It was very overwelming but very satisfying having our initial phone visit. It was a moment that Stacy so looked forward to. Stacy was ever so thankful to her donor that gave her the gift of life. Stacy died on September 3, 1998 leukemia free. We are looking very forward to meeting Stacy's donor in the near future so we may better express to him how thankful we will always be that he gave so generously to stacy the gift of life. We have a gift that stacy was holding for her donor that
we will give to him when we have the pleasure of meeting him in person. |
